Little Beavers Swim School

Teaching life saving swimming skills through love,
connection and confidence!

MEET THE FOUNDER & CEO

Hey, I'm Alexa Warner!

I did not start life as a water baby, and required goggles in the shower until the age of 5. After eventually discovering the world of underwater, there was no going back!

My most favorite childhood memories come from my summer swim team- the Beavers. Through the environment this swim team created I had a safe space to grow up and into myself. I pursued my love for the sport of swimming at CMU, where I grew as a swimmer, teacher and swim instructor.

I find great passion in sharing my love for the water with the kiddos that I work with, while teaching a life saving skill. Now, I teach Kindergarten and help train other instructors on specific methods of swim instruction.

My lessons roll with the needs of your unique child, creating a time and space for them to gain confidence in the water!

Frequently Asked Questions

What ages do you teach?

We teach swimmers of all ages, from infants (6 months+) to adults. Lessons are tailored to each swimmer’s ability level.

What types of lessons do you offer?

We offer private one-on-one lessons in two lengths:
● 20-minute lessons – great for young swimmers or beginners
● 30-minute lessons – perfect for older swimmers or those working on advanced skills

I have a group of friends/cousins. Do you ever do group lessons?

Yes, we will go up to a maximum of 3 for a family lesson or a special circumstance. Please

inquire with Alexa about this!

Lessons can be scheduled weekly or as a custom package. We can pay for as many at a

time as you’d like, or set a recurring lesson time. View the calendar to book your preferred

timeslot.

What is your cancellation policy?

Life happens. Everyone will get one free pass free of charge. Otherwise, we require 12 hours

full.

Do you offer makeup lessons?

Yes, we offer makeup lessons for cancellations made with proper notice (based on

availability). We are happy to work with you on this!

Do parents need to be in the water?

Mostly, no. This is all dependent on you and your child’s comfortability. If for whatever

reason you would like to be in the water, or think your child will be more productive with you

in the water, please let us know.

What should we bring to lessons?

Please bring:

● Swimsuit

● Towel

● Goggles (optional) and we always have extras!!!

● Swim diaper (if child is not potty-trained)

What if my child is afraid of the water?

That’s okay! Our instructors specialize in gentle, patient instruction to build water confidence

at your child’s pace.

What about goggles?

Accidents happen, and when a child falls into a pool on accident, they are not wearing

goggles. For this reason, we prefer to teach kids to be comfortable without goggles first. If

this is a big hangup for a child, we will of course choose the best course of action for the

individually
